Nova Scotia Provincial Library staff have prepared the following booklist to accompany African Heritage Month 2017, celebrating this year’s theme “Passing the Torch…African Nova Scotians and the Next 150”

For Heritage Day 2017, and as part of the celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, Nova Scotia recognizes Mi’kmaq culture and the many accomplishments of the Mi’kmaq people.

A number of activities are being held across the province, including a two-game hockey challenge February 18 in Membertou, and February 20 in Millbrook.
