Freedom to Read Week 2018

This year Freedom to Read Week is taking place February 25 to March 3, 2018.

Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom, which is guaranteed under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Every year, libraries, schools and community groups across Canada celebrate freedom of expression by organizing or participating in Freedom to Read Week festivities.

It is celebrated through events in communities all across Canada. To learn more, read articles, or view lists of selected books and magazines that have been challenged in Canada, visit the Freedom to Read Week Website: http://www.freedomtoread.ca
